Food, A Restaurant Now Open
The Renaissance Square project may be dead but there's new businesses coming to that downtown block. Neil Bauman owns the building at the northwest corner of Main and North Clinton. His father owned a jewelry store at the location for 50 years. “We're the third largest city in the state of New York. And there's no place to buy a cup of coffee on the corner of Main and Clinton.” Bauman showed us plans for a 17 or 18-seat diner-style lunch counter. He thinks it will appeal to downtown workers, students, even construction workers on the Midtown project. The restaurant will simply be called Food. Read More

FOOD is NOW OPEN! We are serving breakfast and lunch 5 days a week, M-F, 6:00AM-4:00PM. We are located at 1 N Clinton Ave in the old Amiels Sub Shop location and only serving takeout until we can renovate the adjacent store (226 East Main Street) for expansion. Stop in for a quick hot meal!
